Are you passionate about UK Manufacturing?
To help with business growth and creating more jobs, we have established a Manufacturers Group that consists of local manufacturers that meet informally in the Bolton area each month.
No solicitors, web designers, insurance salesman or accounts, just manufacturers networking with other manufacturers in the area.
Our network is designed to help you improve your business, help you increase sales, expand your supply chain and meet new contacts that may be willing to collaborate on suitable projects. This opportunity to network will also give you a platform to air you concerns and share ideas with your kind of people.
Next Meeting: Tuesday 29th May 2012, Location: Digicomm BCS Limited, 5.30 p.m. – 7.30 p.m.
The Guest Speakers for this month will be:
Jan Collier, Improvement Journeys Ltd. Jan will be presenting on ‘ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems’ with lots of practical tips and advice to improve your business. ISO 9001 is a useful tool to improve your organisation and win new business; the downside is it can seem complicated, but not anymore. This presentation includes practical tips and actions which you can take back to your business to help move forward on your quality journey.
Mark Welsby, PMD Leasing. Mark will be providing us with an insight into using Point of Sale Finance Schemes as a value added service to our clients. He will also be giving advice on finance packages for the acquisition of business equipment. I have seen Mark speak at an event previously and was very impressed with the product and his delivery style.
Directions to the venue can be found here
The standard format is a monthly meeting in the evening from 5.30 to 7.30 p.m. to network informally over Pie & Peas and a Coffee. You will be expected to pay £15 per meeting and this will cover your food and drinks for the evening. Any profit that is generated from the evening meetings will be donated to local charities each month.
Charity of the Month: Be Strong (www.be-strong.org.uk)
There are also spin off meetings with guest speakers and groups of suppliers pitching for business that are optional to attend. The format of these spin off meetings is very much determined by the networking group and what they would like to see, i.e. guest speakers talking about selling techniques, exporting options, funding availability, etc.
If you would like to come along to the Manufacturing Networking Group please contact us to arrange a guest pass. Remember you need to be a manufacturer to attend and we do not allow people to turn up on the night without prior arrangement.
